This artwork by acclaimed First Nations artist Paddy Lewis Japanangka depicts the dreaming of Mina Mina, an area west of Yuendumu in the Northern Territory. The Dreaming describes the journey of a group of women of all ages who travelled east gathering food and performing ceremonies.
Paddy Lewis Japanangka was born around 1925 and grew up living a nomadic life across the desert. He became a senior law man and a traditional custodian of the dreaming that created the Mina Mina lakes.
