Kathryn Jackson is a Ngaayatjarra woman and one of the original members of Papulankutja Artists in Blackstone, Western Australia.
Because of the abundance of tjanpi (spinifex) in the area many of the artists hand make their own spinifex paper to use for their artworks. The paper is made from the seed stalks so the spinifex plant remains undamaged.
This painting depicts Kathryn's own personal design.
