Quandong Fruit Freeze Dried Halves

Quandongs (also known as desert, native and wild peach) are found in the semi arid zones of Southern Australia.  They are a bright red fruit with a large kernel and a tart citrus taste.  The trees fruit for only a short period at the start of spring and emus are quick to enjoy the quandongs as soon as they ripen. 

These freeze dried quandong halves can enjoyed as a dried fruit or can be rehydrated and added to sweet or savoury dishes for a tangy flavour. 

Quandongs are high in Vitamin C and antioxidants.
